Well so much for our horse breaking demo. We had to cancel it due to Gustav. Nathan got a phone call late this afternoon and he was told that the Madison County Fair grounds was going to be one of the many refueling stations. Which means we were kicked out!! The National Guard will be making post there tomorrow. They will be there ready with fuel trucks to go where ever needed. I guess they are making sure we don't have another mad house like we had 3 years ago. That was crazy! Ya'll remember that. Cars going North on I-45 in all 4 lanes. One of my co-workers, Brandy, brought a video camera to work and interviewed everyone about what they were seeing. I live in Huntsville and it was a mess. Folks fighting over gas, people parked all along 45 because they had run out of gas. I hope it doesn't come to that again.
We hope to reschedule the demo very soon. A lot of hard work was put into this for it not to happen. Hope everyone stays safe over the weekend!!

Busy Weekend
We have a very busy weekend in store for us. Sat Nathan is helping put on a horse breaking demo at the Madison County Fair grounds. The guy breaks a horse while giving a message. It is really neat. We are putting on a Youth service at 4 and another service at 7 that is open to all ages. We will have music in between the services alone with a hot dog dinner. Our whole church family has put a lot of effort into this and I think it will be a great outreach.
Monday will be moving day for us. I can't wait. I have been wanting to move out of our small duplex for a while now. We will be moving into a house on the church grounds. We are glad that we can start putting back some money!!

One Year closer to 30!
Well yesterday was my 29th B-Day. It was a good day. I actually celebrated my birthday twice over the weekend. Friday we went over to the Hoke's for dinner and a little gift giving. I got some money, house decor stuff, and candles. Sunday we went to my parents after church. There I got money, stones for my flower bed and clothes.
Alot goes through your mind one your B-day. Like did I do anything fun this last year. Did I reach any of my goals I set? What does this next year have in store for me? What do I want to do in the next year? All of this lead to a talk on the way home from church. Nathan said that we had the TALK yesterday. All I was saying is that we are getting older and that we would probably need to start a family sooner than we really want. Not that we don't want kids and wouldn't be happy with a kid now, but we haven't really done anything as a couple yet. He has been in school so we haven't done much. Not to say that we would do anything! But we could a lot easier if we wanted to. We have talked about at least 2 no more than 3 kids. Big range I know! I was just saying that more than likely we would be at least 30 before we had the 1st kid. Then if we waited 3 years in between #2 would be here at 33 and you see the pattern. I really don't know if I want to be having kids at 36. So I guess we did have the TALK. He didn't freak out like I thought he would. We will just have to wait and see what the Lord has planned for us in the upcoming year.
All in all it was a great B-day. I am very blessed with a great family, and many great friends.
Thanks for all the B-day wishes I got yesterday!

Eat'm up Kats!
Sat, Aug 9th was a very big day for our family. Nathan and Lauren graduated from Sam Houston. We are so proud of the two of them. It was really neat to have them graduate together. They have both worked very hard and deserve the honor. My parents have been waiting for this day. They are done with tuition, no more trips to the sale barn for dad. Thank the Lord for my dads hobby. It comes in handy every now and again.
Nathan will be the full time Youth Minister for Bedias Baptist church. We have been there for 2 months now and love it. Lauren has taken a job at Utility Fleet in Bryan. Her title (which she hates and has asked for a new one) is a POSA. Which stands for Point of Sale Administrator.

Long Week
This has been a very long week. Coming back from vacation is never fun. Tons of emails and paper work to go over. I need a week where all I do is sleep and watch TV. That would be my dream vacation. I love to sleep! Nathan and I were talking the other night about that events we would be good at for the Olympics. We both decided that there is no one that could out sleep me. Can you see it the next Olympics? I wouldn't doubt it. Some of the events that they have now are a little out there. I think we all need to come together and make up some new events that we average folks could compete in.

I Survived Preteen Camp!
We made it back. We have been at Highland Lakes Baptist Encampment for preteen camp. It was a long few days but it was worth it. The kids had a blast. We went with 10 kids and came back with 10. A few we wanted to tie to the roof of the car on the way home but we held back. Let me just say BOYS will be BOYS. Nathan and I have decided that we are really not ready for kids yet. We love them and all but we like to send them home. My girls were great. I told Nathan that when we do decide to have kids that we will get everyone involved in the prayer for girls. All I want is girls. I know what is going on in their heads and I can figure them out. But Boys I am at a loss.

Ok I'm Cool now!
So I finally got a blog. I can hang with the cool kids at work now. I don't have a whole lot going on in my life but I will try and keep it interesting. I going to be taking a tutoring session soon from Brandy and Denise to learn the ins and outs of blogging.
Nathan graduates this Sat. Pics will come later. We have been waiting a long time for this. I am so proud of him. After graduation he will become a full time youth minister.
Ok that's about all I have for now.
